Even as a kid, you are well aware of the power an outfit has to make you feel good (or bad) about yourself. I was a pretty smiley kid in pics, so I’m willing to bet the miserable expression had something to do with feeling embarrassed about the sweater which, by the way, boasted hanging yarn hair braids on the girl. I will never do this to my children, and hopefully I will never willingly do this to myself again.
